Alpine Modern

The other day I decided to make a short day trip to Boulder, CO for some sightseeing and retail therapy. Denver is such a cool city and I love living there, but Boulder has an atmosphere unlike any other. Whenever I get the chance to go there, which is never enough, I usually spend most of my time walking along the famous Pearl Street. The people watching can’t be beat and the shops are exceptionally unique. One such shop that I have gone to a couple times now is Alpine Modern. It is an interesting place because it is both a coffee shop and a retail store. I haven’t had the chance to try any of their coffee or pastries, but I have spent some time in their retail side, which offers some unique items. They mainly sell home furnishing goods, however, Alpine Modern also has a small selection of clothing and accessories. I finally ended up getting a wallet that I had been eyeing for a while.

The wallet is a leather with big, bold stitching and the sleek Alpine Modern logo engraved on the inside left panel. It is pretty minimalistic, with just two front pockets slips. These pockets are also very tight, which means there isn’t a whole lot of room for storing cards. I haven’t had a problem with this though because I don’t have an excessive amount to put in the wallet. The leather is still fairly stiff, but it is already wearing in nicely and stretching out a bit. Overall, I am super happy with it and definitely plan on purchasing more items from Alpine modern in the future. If you are in the Boulder area, I encourage you to check out their store in person. If not, their website is also worth browsing around.
